Editorial Policy & Code of Ethics
ContractLockers credibility is our most important asset. This Editorial Policy sets out the standards our writers, editors and contributors are required to follow.
1. Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial partners. Advertisers cannot preview, edit or approve editorial coverage.
2. Accuracy
We fact-check every claim, cite reputable sources, and correct mistakes promptly. Corrections are labelled at the bottom of the corrected article.
3. Transparency
Any content that is paid for, sponsored, or produced in partnership with a third party is labelled as "Advertorial", "Sponsored", or "In partnership with" at the top of the article. Affiliate links are disclosed on every page that contains them.
4. Testing
Where we make product recommendations, we base them on hands-on testing, verified user surveys, and manufacturer specifications. We disclose the source of every product we review (purchased, loaned, or gifted).
5. Sources
We name sources whenever possible. Anonymous sources are used only when necessary to protect a person or the integrity of a story, and always with editor approval.
6. Corrections & complaints
To request a correction or file a complaint, email [email protected]. Complaints are acknowledged within three business days.
7. Code of ethics
- Never plagiarise or fabricate.
- Never accept gifts of significant value from sources or advertisers.
- Never publish content designed to deceive readers.
- Always separate news, opinion and commercial content clearly.
